Preparing for CLAT or AILET? The single most useful thing you can do — after understanding the syllabus — is work through genuine past papers. Here is how to build an effective preparation plan and which resources actually help.
Understand the current pattern
Since 2020, CLAT has been comprehension-based: long passages followed by questions testing legal reasoning, logical reasoning, English, current affairs and quantitative techniques. Rote learning does not work anymore; you need to practise applying principles to unseen passages.
Practise with real past papers
Mock tests help, but nothing substitutes for the actual questions asked. CLAT & AILET Solved Papers 2021–2026 by Adv. S.K. Raghuvanshi collects six years of genuine papers with reasoned solutions, so you learn the examiner’s logic rather than memorising answer keys. Working through consecutive years also reveals which topics repeat.
Plan for after you get in
Once you clear the entrance, the reading list begins immediately. Our guide to the best law books for LLB first year covers the core texts you will need from day one.
A word on genuine study material
Preparation material circulates in pirated form with errors and outdated current affairs. Every genuine Allahabad Law Agency title carries a holographic authenticity seal. Browse exam-preparation resources at our online bookstore or download the latest catalogue.
